The legality of this service is based on several factors. 

Firstly, I am operating my business as a not for profit and only charge for the costs of the process. Any accidental profit will be donated to the Austin Book Arts Center

Secondly, I view this as a way to learn and develop my bookbinding skills, making it an educational endeavor. 

When it comes to eBooks, I will only bind them if the customer can prove that they have purchased the eBook (or I have purchased a copy for each bound copy), and therefore this new binding serves as a physical backup, falling under the principles of Fair Use.
